"Harmonies of Nature: A Concert/Lecture about Birdsong"

Sunday, April 213:00—4:30 PMCommunity Room Weston Public Library87 School Street, Weston, MA, 02493

Shared Habitat Earth (SHE), sharedhabitatearth.org,  is thrilled to announce an upcoming concert-lecture that goes beyond music to embrace the delicate melodies of the natural world, showcasing the beauty and complexities of birdsong.

In a time of environmental uncertainty, as bird populations face unprecedented challenges, this lecture-concert serves as a timely reminder of our connection to nature. The event will feature multimedia presentations, including videos of birds in their melodic glory, accompanied by musical transcriptions of their songs. Our musicians will breathe life into these transcriptions by performing them, offering the audience a rare glimpse into the beauty and complexity of birdsong. The concert will also feature performances of two original compositions inspired by birdsong, each prefaced with insights by the composer, Alexander Liebermann.

With composer Alexander Liebermann and musicians Felicitas Schiffner (violin), Courtney Regester (flute), Chiau Ring Chen (viola) and Nicholas Tsang (violoncello).

Don't miss this opportunity to rekindle your relationship with nature and engage in conversations about our environment! Join us and let the melodies of our avian friends resonate in your heart!

This event is presented in conjunction with our art show, “Alive!” which will be on exhibit in the Gallery and in the  Community Room at The Weston Public Library during the month of April.

This event is free and open to the public.
