Starting as a young boy, with his father’s tutelage, John has built loudspeakers, furniture, canoes, a daysailer, and now bent wood objects. John has migrated the steam bending techniques he learned in his canoe/boatbuilding projects to the abstract. He never uses plans; instead, he lets the wood tell him what to do.
