Weston AIC: Vectorize Hand Drawings for Cricut & Laser Cutting with Inkscape
Wednesday, October 45:30—7:30 PMWeston AICWeston Art and Innovation Center356 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA, 02493
You love what you’ve done so far with Cricut and/or laser cutting, but you want to get even more custom. How do you take a hand sketch and turn it into a digital vector file for machine cutting?
This two-hour workshop demonstrates different strategies for taking your hand drawing and converting it into digital vector line art using Inkscape, a free vector program.
Participants try their hand at making a vector drawing themselves, following step-by-step instruction in three different techniques.
Prerequisite: Basic computer skills -- If you’re not sure about your computer skills, we recommend you take a free session at the Weston Public Library -- you can sign up at the following link: https://westonlibrary.org/1559/Tech-Help.
