This is the first day of a 4-day series for teens that takes place this week at the Weston AIC.
Build your own 3D printer in this 4-day summer series for teens!
In this small-group, workshop learning environment, each participant assembles and calibrates a 3D printer, which they will take home at the end of the course. Participants learn to operate the 3D printers and become familiar with free 3D modeling programs as they go.
Starting with the basics of the principles of digital fabrication and 3D scanning, participants are then introduced to 3D modeling to build an understanding of how this technology works, what its limitations are, and how to troubleshoot printing failures.
