This is the first day of a four-part series—a painting course comprised of four classes for those who have previous painting experience and those who are looking to expand their painting skills.

Join instructor Laura Schiff Bean for a fun and experimental painting class that encourages students to push boundaries in color and application.

Painting provides a unique opportunity for personal expression and transformation. Learn how to take your work to the next level through exploration, experimentation and imagination. Through projects and prompts, the class explores different painting strategies—pushing color, line, composition and mark-making along subject matter—letting go of doing it “right,” and having fun making your work uniquely yours! Instruction is on an individual level, so participants are encouraged to bring works in progress and/or an objects or ideas they are interested in.

Please bring: 

• Your own materials—the materials list is provided below. 
• A favorite object to paint from. Registration closes Jan 14.
