Laser cutters are incredible tools for any maker. Who uses laser cutting technology? Artists, architects, manufacturers, robotics engineers, and small business owners! A laser cutter can cut extremely accurate objects out of materials like wood, leather, colored acrylic, and even felt or paper. These powerful machines can make your projects lightning fast and repeatable.

In this certification class, participants learn how to safely operate a laser cutter to cut and engrave wood and are introduced to Lightburn software and create a customized keychain to keep.

Upon completion of this class, certified individuals are permitted to use the laser cutter during AIC Open Maker Hours with supervision.

Must be 16 or older.
