Meet the AIC’s laser cutter! Laser cutters are incredible tools for any maker. You can make everything from simple boxes to highly detailed engravings and complex 3-dimensional puzzles.

Who uses laser cutting technology? Artists, architects, manufacturers, robotics engineers, and small business owners! You can cut extremely accurate objects out of materials like wood, leather, colored acrylic, and even felt or paper. These powerful machines can make your projects lightning fast and repeatable.

In this certification class, participants learn how to safely operate a laser cutter to cut and engrave wood, are introduced to Lightburn software, and create a customized keychain to bring home. 

Certified individuals are permitted to use the laser cutter during the Weston AIC Open Maker Hours with supervision.

Limited to 2 people per session

Prerequisite: Must be 16 or older.
