Join Cecily and Abby for this Laser Cut Handbag Workshop. Don’t be concerned if you’ve never used design software or the laser cutter: all levels are welcome. 

Design and construct a handbag using sturdy, recycled felt; customize and create the handbag using the laser cutter.

Students receive a pattern for the handbag that can be customized with a name, initials or a decorative pattern from the AIC's pattern library. Students then use Lightburn design software (installed on AIC laptops), and Cecily and Abby help you send the design to the laser cutter so you can see how this amazing machine works!

Participants should bring a light lunch or snack.

• $175
• $45 for materials (paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class), which include felt, hardware, and handles
