This is a 3 week mono-printing series using gelli plates. Our aim is to produce a lot of prints using basic and progressively advanced techniques using a wide variety of tools and materials. Develop your visual language, get inspired and be free to play!

Class 1:
The basics of gelli plate printing: experiment and play with a wide variety of papers, paints, inks and techniques; learn how color behaves and explore color combinations and metallics; use layering to create dynamic color compositions.

Class 2:
Build on the inspiration of the first class: employ botanicals, stencils, masks, resists, stamps, frames and textures; cut and build own tools for mark making and printing.

Class 3:
Laser print and magazine transfers, as well as techniques for printing on fabric; combine techniques; explore the possibilities for projects using some of the prints made over the past weeks.
