Weston AIC: Felted Mouse House

Join felt artist and teacher Elizabeth Stubbs for a day of felting in the Loft.

Students start the day by wet-felting the forms needed to construct the basic house structure. Then students needle-felt smaller forms and embellishments to attach and create a magnificent house for a mouse! This beautiful piece of art can adorn your home or seasonal display.

  • All materials will be supplied, included in the materials kit ($35 payable to the instructor directly).
  • Mice not included; please register for a separate workshop for creating the mouse.
  • Hand-sewing skills are a plus, but not required.
  • Students should wear clothing that they don’t mind getting a little wet.

Participants are asked to bring the following:

– 2 old bath towels
– An old cotton or linen dish towel
– A plastic bag to bring wet towels home
– A small bucket or quart yogurt container
– a bag lunch (for a half-hour lunch break)

Minimum # of students: 4
Maximum # of Students: 8

Cost:
$75, plus materials fee (paid directly to the instructor)
