Weston AIC: Drawing to Painting Series begins (an 8-part course)

This is the first class in an 8-part course; the series is designed for beginner to intermediate or those looking to re-ignite their creative skills.

Part 1 (January 18 & 25, and February 1 & 8):

The first four sessions focus on the basics of drawing and observational skills through exercises focusing on line, shape, form and value; basic drawing supplies; focus on dry media, including but not limited to graphite charcoal, and colored pencils.

Part 2 (February 15 & 22, and March 1 & 8):

The second four sessions move into introductory painting. Wet media options will include watercolor, gouache and/or acrylic paints. Composition, color value, color mixing demos and experiments provide participants with opportunities to play with paint, build confidence, and experiment with realistic an abstract exercises. Participants are encouraged to come with an open mind and be prepared to get messy, experiment, and play!
