This is the first class in this 8-part course.

Drawing the human figure from observation helps to nurture states of concentration and focus, giving us a “time out” from a more distracted daily life. This eight-week course explores the interaction of structure, proportion, motion and expression in the human form by studying the appearance of both the semi-nude and clothed figure. In addition to building visual language skills, the course balances traditional representational techniques with expressive, personal approaches to drawing the figure.
