Weston AIC: Book Binding Fundamentals

This class explores 2 unique types of bookbinding:

  • Concertina book, often referred to as an accordion book; this structure is beautiful alone but can be expounded upon to create complex book structures. Depending on time constraints, the instructor may also introduce the lotus fold to further enhance your future concertina projects.
  • Pocket-sized knife edge binding. 

Each of these techniques can be used to create one-of-a-kind books.

All tools and materials will be provided; however, participants who have a cutting mat or an Olfa knife are encouraged to bring them.
