Opera for Everyone: Romeo et Juliette

Wednesday, October 263:00—4:30 PMCommunity Room Weston Public Library87 School Street, Weston, MA, 02493

The Legend Lives On:

They were – and always will be – the best-known pair of lovers in the world. Like in Shakespeare’s play, the opera takes place in 14th-century Verona. The two lovers and their families never actually existed. All the relics of their lives – including the famous balcony that one can view in Verona – are entirely imaginary.

Speaker: Erika Reitshamer is an engaging teacher whose knowledge and love of opera will inspire all and her open style and sense of humor are irresistible. She has lectured on opera and great singers of opera for many years and was active in the formation of the Boston Lyric Company.
