Opera for Everyone: Puccini's Tosca

Erika Reitshamer will present Puccini's Tosca.

Tosca, Puccini's musical thriller of lust, murder, and politics, is one of the most riveting operas in the repertory. On DVD: Angela Gheorghiu sings Tosca, Jonas Kaufmann is her lover, the painter Cavaradossi, and Sir Bryn Terfel is the evil Chief of Police, Baron Scarpia.

Erika Reitshamer was born and educated in Germany and has lectured on opera for many years in the greater Boston area. She was active in the formation of the Boston Lyric Opera Company, led opera tours to Europe, and served as VP of the Boston Wagner Society. She taught opera appreciation for Lifelong Learning at Regis College for 9 years and now lectures at libraries, social service organizations, and retirement communities.
