Piano Concert with Anran Qian

The Library’s Music Committee

welcomes pianist Anran Qian to the Community Room in the third in-person concert of our

2022-23 season. Anran is an adventurous musician who not only loves performing on the

stage, but also enjoys connecting with different people, whether it is through playing

classical music, improvising, composing, or teaching. She will play works by Beethoven,

Glinka/Balakirev, Manuel de Falla, and Chen Yi. Beginning her piano studies in China,

Anran received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School in New York

City. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University.

Besides performing, Anran is also passionate about social outreach programs and music

technology. She believes that music can promote peace and respect for human rights and

cultures.

The concert is free and open to the public, and the Community Room is handicapped

accessible. Covid precautions will be observed; masks are encouraged. It will also be

recorded by the Weston Media Center for future airing on their Video on Demand web platform.
