Free concert: An Afternoon of Sextets
Sunday, November 203:00—4:00 PMCommunity Room Weston Public Library87 School Street, Weston, MA, 02493
The 2022-23 season of the Weston Public Library's Music Committee concerts continues this month with the scintillating Sextets of Brahms and Tchaikovsky featuring members of the string section of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra:
Amos Lawrence and Jane Kang, violins, Arjun Mudan and Merrick Nelson, violas, and Stephanie Wingfield and David Fisher, cellos. These sextets are magnificent not only for their richness of design and melody but (as opposed to string quartet writing) the striking accomplishment of maintaining six independent voices.
The concert is free and open to the public, and the Community Room is handicapped accessible. Covid precautions will be observed: masks are encouraged, and there will be space between performers and the audience.
