Making Autobiographical Comics!

for kids grades 4 - 9

Graphic memoirs are huge among middle-grade and tween readers. Jonathan shares his approach to creating them, asking students to reflect upon personally meaningful moments in their lives and thinking of precise ways to express those memories--and their significance--in comics form.

Massachusetts native Jonathan Todd is the author/illustrator of Timid, a forthcoming middle-grade graphic novel. He is also the co-founder of the Boston Kids Comics Fest: https://bostonkidscomicsfest.org and has a passion for teaching children how to write and draw their own comics.
